Happy Mother's Day!

Today we are celebrating Mothering Sunday. I was lucky enough to be able to take my mum out for lunch today as well as enjoying lots of lovely cuddles from my two little boys!

For mother's day I was given a box of 48 creme eggs!!!!!!!!! Now I do love creme eggs, but I'm supposed to be on a diet. C'est la vie, I'm sure I'll be able to find them a home, it'll be hard, but someone's got to do it!

I had a play with brushos last weekend for the first time ever and made this card, which I gave to my amazing mum! I was daft enough to film my first attempt with brushos, so you can check out what I did to make it

Would you believe it took 13 hours to upload to youtube! I clearly need to spend some time on what I should be doing to compress my videos etc. Apologies for some of the sideways work, but here's the card for a better view

Not bad for a first try. The die cut is using one of the freebie Sale-a-bration items. We have less than 3 weeks of SAB to go. Where is this year going?????

Happy (belated) Mother's day

Hi di ho peeps!

It's been an action packed weekend here at Sticky Elf HQ. We dashed up to Nottingham for the day to see the out-laws on Saturday, and yesterday I enjoyed my own mother's day and managing to see my mum too, so that was jolly lovely!

I hope you were all able to spend some time with your loved ones. Big hugs to everyone who was remembering their mothers that aren't here any more, it can be a particularly hard day.

Today's card is the one that I made for my lovely mum. I decided to colour with my watercolour pencils, but without adding any water for a different affect. I hope you like it

The hubster actually made is mother her card for the first time in all the years that I've known him. I suspect she'll think that I made it, so I probably need to set her straight on that front. I foolishly didn't take a photo before he sealed it in the envelope. Next time, I will do better.

A gift for mum

Waaaay back in January my mum had a birthday. So I made her a 12 x 12 scrapbook page and framed it to go up on the wall.

The page was super quick to make and is a great way of using washi tape.
