Congratulations
on your interest in Stampin’ Up! To sign up with Stampin’ Up you need to do so
through another demonstrator who is called your upline. I just wanted to give
you a bit more information about me and what being a demonstrator is all about.
Hopefully the information below will help answer any questions you may have,
but please feel free to drop me a line if you’d like to chat about the
opportunity some more.
I’m
a positive and enthusiastic person who has a passion to create and share my
hobby with everyone around me. I love rubber stamping and was bitten by the bug
at the tender age of 8 and 26 years later, I still have that same rubber stamp
(along with a million others!) I teach card making and paper crafting and I run
my business around my young family and full time job. I have experience in
customer communications and project management, all of which give me the skills
to run my business and team and provide you with the support and inspiration
needed to run your business.
By
signing up with me you will become part of my fast growing team and I’ll
provide you with all the help and support you need and I will never push or
pressure you to do more than you wish to. This is your business to run how you
want and I will support you in every way that I can.
Whether
your goals are to just support your paper crafting or stamping habit, or you
want to build a successful business, I am here to help. If you want to sign up
just for the discount and never run workshops, that is absolutely fine. You can
join and get a great discount for you, your family and friends. I’m always here
and you can call and e-mail me whenever you want.
I
send regular e-mails to my team, and have regular training sessions which are entirely
optional.
Being
a demonstrator isn’t really like working. It’s sharing what you love with other
people and there are few careers out there that you can fit around your life,
from home and even work in your pyjamas!
I
would love for you to join my team for the friendship, support and inspiration,
but above all for the fun that we all share. Stampin’ Up! really is like being
part of a big family. Sharing the love of what we do, inspiring and motivating
each other. Like any large organisation, Stampin’ Up! rewards you for your hard
work with incentives for you to work towards. They really are achievable
rewards.
You will find some
answers to some of the frequently asked questions about becoming a demonstrator
below:
What will I do as a
demonstrator?
You
will share your love of paper crafting, creating cards, gifts or scrapbook
pages with family and friends. You can do this through running home workshops,
classes, events or even on a one to one basis. If you choose to, you will also
help others enjoy the fun and flexibility of running their own Stampin’ Up!
business.
Will I receive support
and training as a demonstrator?
By
joining, you will become part of my team and I’ll provide you with all the help
and support you need but you also get support from Stampin’ Up! too:
- A password protected demonstrator website which has lots of resources, patterns, template libraries and an on-line ordering system
- A full colour quarterly magazine called Impressions with creative and business ideas just for demonstrators
- A freephone number to contact the knowledgeable and friendly demonstrator support team
- An achieve incentive programme for income and awards if you choose to aspire to them
- Training events run throughout the year
How will I make
money as a demonstrator?
Since
customers pay you directly, you will keep 20% of each order placed at the time
of payment. This is called “instant income”. When you promote to Bronze Elite
(when you sell over £1620 worth of product within a rolling 12 month period, I
know that sounds like a lot, but it’s easier than you think) you’ll start to
earn an extra 5% commission. You can earn additional money through volume
rebates on your monthly sales. If you build a team, you can also earn monthly
downline overrides as well.
Do people really
make money at this?
Yes!!
Depending on how much time you want to put into “your” business, you can make
whatever income you desire. It is totally up to you!
Do I have to
recruit other demonstrators?
Of
course not! Having a downline is not a requirement, it’s a perk. We have the
opportunity to earn a commission based on our downline’s sales! However, it is
also a responsibility. You will need to support your team and give them
training to help them achieve their goals. My team is a great inspiration to
me.
What are the
minimum sales requirements?
To
stay active as a demonstrator you will need to sell a minimum of £225 per
quarter (£270 catalogue price). Most demonstrators find that this goal can be
achieved in one or two workshops per quarter or with their own purchases. Your
first quarter target doesn’t start until the quarter following the quarter that
you join in. I.e. if you join before the end of February, you do not have to
meet your first minimum target until the 30th June.
What if I only want
to do this as a hobby? Do I still have to do workshops?
Nope.
Stampin’ Up! support all demonstrators in the same way, regardless of how big
or small their business is. You only need to do workshops if you want to. You
can put in your own orders or collect orders from family and friends.
Do I have to hold
stocks of product?
No.
You will only order items when someone places and order and pays you in
advance, so you won’t need to keep stock of products and no chasing payment
either.
How much does it
cost to get started?
The
starter kit is only £99 for a total of £130 of Stampin’ Up! products plus a
business kit valued at £45. The kit is fully customisable so that you can
choose your own stamps sets, cardstock, ink and accessories to suit your style
and taste.
What if I decide
it’s not for me once I’ve started? Will I be penalised if I quit?
You
simply stop placing orders. If you don’t meet the minimum quality requirement,
you just “resign” – no questions asked! I will check to make sure if you’re ok
and ask if there’s anything I can do to help, but if you’ve decided to finish,
that’s absolutely fine. I guarantee that once you get started you won’t want to
stop!
What kind of
incentives will I receive as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?
Through
sales and recruiting throughout the year you earn flex points. You can use
these points to earn the incentive trip, or you can utilise your points to
purchase products or catalogues helping you to grow your business and be more
profitable.
As
a new demonstrator, you will have the opportunity to earn an unlimited number
of free stamp sets during your first six months for your sales and recruiting
achievements.
You
have the ability to be your own “hostess” and earn free hostess sets and
products on your own personal orders or orders that you collect from others.
You
can work to achieve the annual incentive trip. The trip we will start working
towards from October is to Thailand.
Where do I get
ideas for my workshops?
Stampin’
Up! has many resources for demonstrators, including the Idea Book and
Catalogue, a great quarterly magazine, a fantastic website for demonstrators
only, a DVD in the starter kit and so much more. You will also have my help and
support at meetings and on our facebook groups.
Are there any
Stampin’ Up! events that I can attend as a new demonstrator?
Yes,
there are field training events that happen twice a year.
I
hope I have answered some of your questions. I would love to share this amazing
opportunity with you. If you have any questions or would like further
information, please do not hesitate to ask. Your demonstratorship is as
individual as you are!
