cause I've been rather busy with my Stampin' Up! site. I hope you have been popping along to see me there instead :)
I have just 3 spaces left in my club 10, get yourself some hostess benefits for just £15 per month! www.thestickyelf.co.uk
I actually made this card a wee while ago and didn't get round to posting it. The theme over at Simon Says Stamp is anything goes, So here you go!
I've used the lovely teddybella stamp and coloured with my copics. I've added some ribbon from my stash and my fav Memory Box Gossamer papers and the sentiment is a stamp from LOTV.
Don't worry, I wont leave it quite so long next time, but you know you can see me anytime in my wonderful world of Stampin' Up!

Why do I spend more time crafting than cleaning?
Because crafting is fun! I hate cleaning and to be fair its not hard for me to do more crafting than cleaning, but with Jeannie poping in tomorrow, I really should leave blogland alone and tidy up a bit!
So without further a-due today's card is...
I'm so in love with Warren from CWC. I really wanted to buy the stamps, but my spending has been so high with my Stampin' Up! business costs that I really couldn't justify it! I'll just make do with the printed versions that are ready for me to colour.
I've used some of the gorgeous CWC cottontail papers and coloured with my copics. The sentiment is by High Hopes.
As it's Wednesday and I'm talking about my disaster zone, do you want to have a peak as part of WOYWW??? Ok here goes.... eeek!
Creme eggs - nom, thanks mum!
Well you'll probably remember from my previous post that my stuff has a tendancy to migrate out of my craft room. The net result is it then migrates off the living room floor and is dumped on the dining table away from little hands. Oh well, lets see how much I can clear up in the morning as I'm totally pooped! (I work with too many Americans!)
I'm waffling a bit today, so hopefully you've not completely lost the will to live!
I just wanted to let you all know that I've just announced the date of my first workshop and the theme is Men's Cards!!! oh yes!!! I'm already nervous, but it should be a fabby day and I hope some of you can make it. If you'd like to come, just pop on over to my Stampin' Up! blog for all the details (www.thestickyelf.co.uk).

I've had my eye on this stamp...
since the very first previews and held off purchasing until my visit to Ally Pally.
I had a lovely crafty Ben free weekend and got to play with lots of my new toys. I have a few cards to share with you this week that I'm quite pleased with. Maybe the mojo is starting to return - yippee!!
Last week I was pre-occupied with making a cake for a friend of my son's first birthday party. I have only covered two cakes since he was born. It's amazing how rusty your skills get!
You can never have enough birthday cards and luckily the theme over at LOTV is birthday, so who am I to refuse that kind of challenge!?! Today's card features Birthday Fairy and has been coloured with my copics. The DP is CWCs Cottontail (you'll be seeing more of this paper too)and the sentiment is also LOTV.
I've die cut the leaves using my Stampin' Up! exclusive little leaves die and finished with some WOC flowers and lace.
You know one of the best things about Stampin' Up! is that all of their products are colour co-ordinated and I now always have the perfect shade of cardstock for matting and layering (something that's always been a problem for me!) Today's matted cardstock is Pretty in Pink.
And well here's the cake, I clearly need to practice but Sally was pleased and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cake and were trying to have seconds.

See you soon.

It's Christmas!!!!!!
Yup, it's March and I've just made my first Christmas card of 2011. I do love Christmas although I never seem to find enough time to play with the many, many Christmas stamps I have. I have an embarrassing amount of virgin Christmas rubbah. But if I start in March, I do stand a chance of rectifying that don't I?!?
So the theme over at Kraftin Kimmie this week is Scoopy scallops. I was feeling a little scalloped challenge, so I went for my oval nesties and then found a stamp that would fit, thus the Christmas card was born. I've coloured Stocking Miles with my copics and Prismacolour pencils. I have to say it does look so much better when using too mediums. I should do it more often. I've co-ordinated with some DP from the Basic Grey Jovial stack (another virgin Christmas item) it's such a nice stack, I'm certainly going to be using it again soon. I've used some stickles to make the fur of the stocking to give it some texture and I've finished the card with some CWC Candi
So all that's left to be said it happy Friday! Apologies for the lack of blog hopping this week. I've been suffering from severe headaches for the last couple of months, so I've been trying to reduce time on the PC to see if that will help. I will no doubt get to take a look at what you've all been doing over the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.

I nearly forgot to post this!
I've created a card with this week's Friday Sketchers sketch....
I've coloured Savvyshoppabella with my copics and all of the DP is Memory Box's Gossamer. Still my absolute favourite stack of papers (and I'm not a pink person!) sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.
That's about it really. Short and sweet, just like me ;)
See you tomorrow with my Kraftin Kimmie card (if I get it finished in time...!)

I love this stamp!!!
Hi-di-ho peeps!
I'm in love with today's stamp. It's from Kraftin Kimmie and is called Tiny Miles and Masey. I've coloured with my copics and teamed it with some DP from DCWV Spring Glitter Stack and some Bazzil cardstock.
Nice and simple and I love it! I may just have to make up one for a little boy.
Right back to the day job now - booo

Monday, Monday, bah bah bah bah so good to me...
I don't know why The Mama's and the Papa's song has popped into my head. Probably because it's Monday. No doubt it'll be stuck in my head for the rest of the week, but it's got to be better than Star Wars which I had on constant playback yesterday. I don't know why some songs stick in my head sometimes for weeks at a time. They're never the ones you want are they?!?
Today we have a new home card for my cousin. I've used some positively ancient DT. I have absolutely no idea who it's by and it's probably 10 years old. Today's stamp is buy Bildmalarna and is called up in the tree. I've coloured with my copics (no change there) and cut out with my circular nesties. I chalked the edges in blue to give the image some sky, but that doesn't appear too well on the photo. Fabulous sentiment is LOTV.
The theme over at Lili of the Valley is circles, I'm not sure if only using a sentiment qualifies, but I'll give it a go.
See you later

Ahhhh what a lovely weekend
Hallo!!! Did you have a nice weekend??? I have been Ben free for the last 2 days and it has just been lovely. The house has been quiet. I got some jobs done and I managed to make cards - yay!!!
Now I'm seriously thinking about becoming a Stampin Up rep. What do you think? Any of you had any experience of doing this sort of thing? Good and bad, let me know. I'm really yoyo-ing with the idea.
Today's card features House Mouse. This stamp is from the balloon set available from Joanna Sheen. I've coloured with my copics and teamed it up with some K&Co papers. Now it looks like I've mounted the fab LOTV sentiment onto a scalloped nestie, but alas I don't have any scalloped circles, so I improvised with two die cut flowers from Craftwork Cards.
That's about it for today. I'm all chilled and ready for the stressful working week ahead...

Happy Friday!!!
Where do the weeks go? I can't believe is nearly March already. Oh well will soon be my birthday and I can't wait. The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show is on at Alexandra Palace on my birthday, so the hubster has agreed to take me for my birthday and is going to treat me to some stuff there as my present - yay!!! I'm sooo excited.
I've got some birthday blog candy in preparation at the moment, I'm hoping to launch it within the next couple of weeks, just depends on when everything arrives...
So today's card is for Kraftin Kimmie's challenge. Kimmie is having a Guest DT call. Did I tell you about that?? I thought I should give it a go. I've never tried for a DT before and will probably get no-where, but you have to try at some point don't you?
Today's card is in a style that is very much, not me! I'm really not sure if I like it at all. But the papers were speaking to me so I thought I'd give it a go. This week's challenge was a fabulous sketch by Elaine at Quixotic Paperie. Let me know what you think, as I'm really not convinced...
My card features Jayne and I've coloured with my copics. All of the papers are GCD Studios Paris Nights.
The Little Mister is off to stay with grandpa tomorrow, so I have a nice child free weekend to enjoy. We've rented some films are having Pizza Hut pizza and I'm going to craft. Can't Wait!

Kraftin Kimmie Stamps - A recipe
Wow, where has the week gone. I can't believe it's Friday already! This has been the first week of my new working hours and it has been brilliant. Instead of working every evening (as well as during the day) I only have to do 1.5 hours in the evening and it's flexible, so I can do it when I want depending on what's going on. It's just fantastic. I'm a much happier lady and it means I will actually have more time to craft and de-stress - Yay!!!
So today's card is for the challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. This weeks challenge is a recipe and I found it quite hard to come up with initially, but I'm pleased with the result. The recipe was...
3 main colours
2 designer papers
1 ribbon
1 button
I combined the recipe with this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch.
My card features Goldilocks, one of my newest additions to my forever expanding stamp collection, and I've teamed with Basic Grey papers from the Wisteria stack. I've coloured with my copics and teamed with some Bazzil buttons and ribbon from my stash.
That's about it for today. Thank you in advance for any comments you might leave. It's lovely to hear from you. I can't wait to see what you've all been up to.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge
I've been neglecting my Penny Black stamps recently. I don't know about you, but I go through phases, generally with whatever is newest and shiniest! I made this card for my hubster for Valentines day and coinsidentally the theme over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week is 'Pretty in Pink', it's almost as if I planned it.
The stamp is by....yep, Penny Black, and I've coloured with my copics. The DP is absolutely ancient and has been in my stash for probably 7 years so I've no idea who its by. The roses and pin are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the swirl is a Marianne Designs die called Frames/Swirls.
I hope you're having a good week.

Seeing Red
Evening!
Really quick post night as I'm going out with the girlies and I should have left already - whoops!
Today's card is for Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps Challenge and the theme is 'Seeing Red' I was in valentines mode, but found that all of my valentines type paper is pink, so I was a little limited. I've used Sir Galahad and coloured with my copics. Papers are from Forever Friends.
Ok, gotta dash. See you tomorrow

Yes you Can-Can
Hi di ho peeps!
Sorry for not being around last week and saying hello to you all. Last week was one of the worst weeks ever. Normally I'd bore you with the details but I've decided that I moan too much, so I'm not. I'm going to keep a positive outlook, because things can, will and must get better :)

Today's card is brought to you by Suzette. She's bringing a smile to my face and who knows I may do a Can-Can when I get home from work ;) Suzette is one of Kraftin Kimmie's beautiful stamps. I've coloured her with my copics and teamed her with some beautiful Basic Grey Papers from the Wistera stack.
I hope you like her. I'm hoping to be back tomorrow with my submission for the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge...

Happy Hump Day!
Hi-di-ho!
Happy Wednesday. Boy have I had a nice day. No work and no little person. I got up at 9:30, went to weigh in and lost 2lbs, then the supermarket and I've spent the rest of the day making cards. I'm so relaxed its fab. I'm wondering how long this feeling will last when I'm back in the office tomorrow, but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.
I have a brighter card (especially for Mary, but you're right, pastel tones are more me!) featuring another fabulous image from Kraftin Kimmie. This is my only Miles the Mouse stamp and I had a bit of a mare finding someone in the UK that stocked it. There's a couple of others that I've got my eye on, but I guess I'll have to get them direct from Kimmie and ship them over from Canada. Not a big deal, but I'm trying to curb my spending, so it'll be a while before they make it into my stash. I coloured Birthday Cake Overdose with my copics. The DP I've used is from a stack of Making Memories paper that has been stashed away for a couple of years and I've used some more Craftwork Cards Card Candy. Apologies for the finger in the photo, airbrushing it out, would just mean less time for crafting, so I hope you'll forgive me :)
Fingers crossed I'll be back tomorrow with some evidence of the cards I made today.

Flower Power
Hello again :)
The theme over at the Basic Grey Challenge blog this fortnight is Flower Power. I made this card at the weekend which fits the bill perfectly.
Today's image is from Stamping Bella and I've coloured with my copics. I've teamed it with some gorgeous Basic Grey paper from the Wisteria stack. The pearl swirl is Prima.
Nice short post today. I'm so exhausted that I booked tomorrow off this morning (all hell broke loose this afternoon, so I'm feeling a little guilty about it) so I'm going to have nice day all to myself. Cant wait! All I'm going to do is sleep and make cards (probably in my pyjamas) - Yay!
See you tomorrow.

Another day, another card
Well we're up to 4 days in a row. I really am spoiling you! At this rate I wont have any cards left to share, so I better get some more crafting done, but as I don't finish work till 8.30 it does get rather tricky. Never mind, where there's a will there's a way!
So today I have another birthday card. I've used another Bella image Lulu's Cherry Blossom Tree. I've coloured with my copics. I took about 20 photos of this card, but couldn't get the lighting right. I've actually glittered all of the the blossom on the tree. It looks lovely in real life, but I'm afraid you'll just have to trust me on this one! Papers are from the gorgeous Glossomer stack from Memory Box. I don't deny it. I'm totally in love! Sentiment is Craftwork Cards, but you knew that already didn't you...
That pretty much sums it up for me today. Hopefully I'll find some time to stop by some of your blogs tonight. I've had serious withdrawal symptoms over the last few month.
See you soon (maybe even tomorrow!)

Birthday card
Just a quick post today as I'm ready to crash after my first day back at work after the holidays. Work is so rubbish, it gets in the way of quality crafting time. I had stomach ache all day yesterday, just cause I didn't want to go back.
I made this card for my dearest darling pal Nic (same person who should have received yesterday's card).
Today's card features Savvyshopabella from Stamping Bella. I've coloured with copics and mounted on the forever beautiful Gossamer papers from Memory Box. (The lovely Elaine tipped me off that these papers have been discontinued, so I've ordered some more - teehee!) The ribbon is from my stash and rather annoyingly it's freyed as I couldn't find any decent scissors, they have since turned up, which is all good.
I'm going to love you an leave you. Fingers crossed I'll be back tomorrow with another creation (work permitting)

Never stop sparkling
Its a sentiment that I could give to so many lovely, lovely people out there. I made this card for one of my closest friends that's fighting cancer, but my mum fell in love with it, so I thought I'd make another and so far haven't got round to it :(
The fabulous image and sentiment are Stamping Bella. DP is from Craftwork Cards. Today I've coloured with my copics and prisma colour pencils.
Lets see if I can make it three days in a row...

Simon Says Challenge
I've had another go at a sketch. Crazy I know, this flu has clearly affected my brain in someway. I thought I would have a go at the Simon Says Challenge sketch as it looked relatively straight forward.
I've used Heidi Amoung Flowers from CC designs and coloured her with my copics. I selected a stack of paper that is really grungy and dark and so I never actually use it. So it's been sat around for a couple of years being neglected. Said paper is Dovecraft's Abstract Prints. I figured I'd give it a go. Still not that convinced it works, but no harm in trying! Let me know what you think.
On Sunday I completed Race for Life (not too late to sponsor me, link in the top right!) I actually managed to run half of it. I am still in shock. When I was at school I was a lot fitter than I am now and couldn't run the 1500m, so running 2.5k is just amazing. I had a great time, although really knackering. I'm going to try and do it again next year and train properly (like I intended to this year) so I can run the whole thing. Watch me turn into Paula Radcliffe marathon woman. I think not! Thank you again to those that have already sponsored me. Cancer Research is a hugely important charity. I've already lost 2 friends this year to cancer, a friends mum also passed away last month. Another friends tumor has flaired back up in the last week, but one is now in remission, so it's not all bad. It's a cliché to say that everyone is touched by cancer in some way, but it is true. So I thank you for your amazing support. It means so much....And yes I am the one looking dead on the left. :O)
Thank you for stopping by and reading my ramblings. See you again soon.

Lili of the Valley sketch
Two posts in one day. Now I am spoiling you!
I had intended to post this yesterday, but I've been flighting flu all week. Yes I mean actual flu and not a really bad cold. Yesterday I thought I was better, but at 9 O'Clock my body decided that I really should have at least one more fever and gave me a temperature of 104 degrees! Needless to say I went back to bed with some paracetamol ready to sweat it out, again!
Unfortunately this means that I missed the deadline for the LOTV challenge. :O(
Image is unsurprisingly LOTV and I've colored with my copics. Edges were chalked to soften them up at bit. I mounted on some Papermania 'Victorian' DP and used another Anna Griffin tape.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out both cards for today. I have more for tomorrow. Yep I have been busy, despite the flu! See you later.
