Great British Craft Festival

Hi do ho peeps!

Well I've been neglecting my blog again. So much has happened since my last post. I've got a new job which I'm starting in a week having worked my 3 months notice. My new job is in Buckinghamshire so, I'm actually moving house on Tuesday! More on that next week because I'm currently sitting in my hotel room in Kenilworth as its the Great British Craft Festival at Stoneleigh Park this weekend. I'm running the Stampin' Up! stand with my uber talented friend Louise. Stop by stand C8 to see what we've been up to. We have a Free Prize Draw and some fantastic show offers.

Retreat Birthday Card - Sheltering Tree background

Hi Di Ho Peeps!

I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and get my blog up and running again properly. I've been awol for far too long and have lots of projects in my sample box that I haven't shared with you all. Here's to hoping there are some people out there in blog land to stop by and take a look.

A couple of weeks ago I held my craft retreat a Center Parcs! It's been a long time since I had that much fun. We didn't stop giggling during the whole weekend. Normally I run my retreat annually, but we've decided we can't wait that long, so I will be holding another in the autumn. Details will be coming very soon, so watch this space...

At the retreat everyone got a birthday card class included in the price, so on Friday evening we had a crafty getting to know each other kind of session.

Here's the first card we made....

The sentiment is from a stamp set that was available for free with qualifying orders during Sale-a-bration. SAB ended on Tuesday, so I'm afraid you can no longer get this set. The rest of the items are listed below and you can order directly through my online store by clicking on the image in the top right corner of the screen - simples!

Supplies:
Stamps: Sheltering Tree Photopolymer (137163), Big Day (SAB exclusive, discontinued)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss (133642), Baked Brown Sugar (131174)
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss (133682), Baked Brown Sugar (131301), Whisper White (106549)
Accessories: Snail Adhesive (104332 or refil 104331), Trimmer (129722), Acrylic Block E (118484)

I hope you've all had a nice Good Friday. It's been perfect weather for ducks, so an ideal opportunity for crafting - yippee!!

See you soon...

Fundraising for Joy

5 years ago a very dear friend lost her battle with breast cancer. Joy was one of the constants during some of the most difficult times of my life. Without her support I would not be here today. Since Joy’s passing a number of friends have lost their mothers to breast cancer and two of my colleagues and a colleague’s mother are currently fighting breast cancer. I try to do some fundraising for different charities each year and 2015 is no different. In memory of Joy and for all of those amazing people that are battling cancer, I’ve decided to raise some money for Breast Cancer Care.

I’m raising money by simply donating my commission from every sale of the Birthday Basics stamp set and co-ordinating framelets. Whether you choose to by one of the items or bundle them together. I will donate every penny of commission that I receive from the sale of these items to Breast Cancer Care. You can keep track of my progress through my Just Giving page and if you want to make a donation to help me on my way, it would be gratefully received.
This set comes in a choice of Wood mount, Clear and Photopolymer, so if you want to enjoy some crafting time and help raise some money for charity, then just click on the image at the bottom of the page for the set/bundle you prefer and you'll be taken directly to the item in my online store. Don't forget that we're sale-a-brating, so if you spend over £45 you can pick a sale-a-bration item absolutely free!

Here’s a card I’ve made with the set to give you some inspiration.

Thank you all for your support. Here’s to a happy, healthy 2015

30 Christmas Cards in one day!

Well would you believe that Christmas is well and truely on the way. They're already putting Christmas films on the tele and that's on the regular channels not the Christmas film channels that are available. I saw the John Lewis advert today and it made me cry. I really love #montythepenguin

I'm really into the Christmas Spirit, it's always the way when making your own Christmas Cards, you have to start early to make sure you get them all finished in time. I've been designing projects for my all day class on the 15th November. We'll be making 30 cards in just one day using this gorgeous stamps set and punch.

I've had lots of people say that they'd like to come to my class, but they live too far away or they're not free on that date, so I've decided to offer the class with a postal option. So if you'd like to make all of your Christmas cards in one day then this is the class for you...

Included in the class fee
Festival of Trees Stamp Set - yours to keep (retails for £13.95)
Tree punch - yours to keep (retails for £15.50)
Materials for 30 cards
Unlimited tea and coffee
Cake
Lunch

You will need to bring the following:
Acrylic block
Adhesive
Paper Trimmer/guillotine/scissors. I will have some tools available to share, but if you can bring your own that would speed the making process up.

All of this for just £35. Booking closes at 10pm tonight. Please pick whether you'd like a postal kit or to attend in person from the options below. Please note, that you will need to supply your own ink if using the postal kit option (there is no additional charge for postage).

Festival of Trees class

Time to run as Isaac is waking up from his nap and I've got about 20 pieces of music to learn before a rememberance concert I'm doing tomorrow evening... It's all go here as always!

Happy Crafting!
